Our teenage workers were challenged to think about how to make tedious tasks more interesting, how to offer improvement ideas to a supervisor, the importance of smiles and how to go the extra mile.
Thanks so much. This was a great experience for a very valuable part of our staff!

Becoming A Totally Awesome Teenage Worker
This workshop is for todays teenage workers! Your Teenage Workers! When teens reach 15 or 16 years of age they have two very important goals in minddriving and getting a job. Getting a job can bring more freedom, a feeling of being in control, and not having to rely on their parents quite as much. Most of the time teens want to work for the cash, CDs, clothes, and cars.
However, working can also provide responsibility, growth, and maturity. The benefits to getting a job are learning new skills, acquiring confidence, feeling independent, and meeting a whole new group of people.
This workshop is designed to help teens understand how important success is in their earliest jobs. This session will help them prepare for the world of work, welcome them to the workplace and explain what it means to be an awesome teenage worker. Your teen workers will also learn how to interact positively with coworkers and customers, develop sales skills, and improve their ability to communicate with the public, coworkers, and supervisors.
No matter what their background, education, or level of work experience, teens can improve their professional image and take those important next steps toward a more successful career. They will learn to take pride in their jobs and contribute to a more interesting and customer-focused workplace.
Teens will learn:
The five keys to success How to have a winning attitude What a good job looks like (expectations) To project a professional image How to be customer focused What it means to go the extra mile for customers How to be company focused To develop their potential To communicate clearly (speaking and listening)
